A Soldier’s Story of the Siege of Vicksburg

A great series of posts is winding down at the Daily Chronicles of the American Civil War, which I have added to my blog roll. There the blog master has been posting daily entries by a soldier taking part in the campaign for Vicksburg. Of course, Vicksburg capitulated on July 4th.

Daily Chronicles of the American Civil War has daily posts of news articles, letters, and diary entries from the Civil War the correspond with today’s date. A very interesting and fun site!!

Thanks for the kind post about my “Daily Chronicles of the American Civil.” I spend a lot of time with it, even though I’m only republishing pre-existing material, so it’s gratifying to read a positive review. Again, Thanks.
